The society for creative anachronism has been around for over 40 years. Traditional arts and sciences include heavy fighting, cooking, spinning, weaving, costuming, dancing, and music. Why then should aviculture be studied in the SCA? In this podcast we'll examine how parrots have been a part of the SCA for many years. We'll introduce the history of parrots and spotlight two famous medieval monarchs who kept parrots: Frederick II, the holy roman emperor who wrote the book on falconry, and Henry VIII of England.
